Mission statement

Atlanta Nurses Foundation (ANF) is dedicated to advancing the nursing profession and improving community health outcomes by providing education, mentorship, financial support, and access to essential healthcare resources.

We exist to empower current and future nurses while addressing health disparities within underserved communities across Atlanta. Through scholarships, community outreach, and professional development initiatives, ANF works to strengthen both the nursing workforce and the populations it serves.

Our mission is rooted in service, leadership, and impact: ensuring that nurses are equipped to deliver safe, compassionate, and high quality care while uplifting the communities that need it most.

OUR HISTORY: WHY THE FOUNDATION EXISTS

Atlanta Nurses Foundation was established to address the gap between the growing demand for skilled nurses and the limited access to resources, mentorship, and financial support available to them.

Founded by a nurse educator and healthcare leader, the organization was created after recognizing the challenges nursing students and early-career nurses face, alongside ongoing healthcare disparities within underserved Atlanta communities.

The foundation was built to serve both needs: supporting nurses through education, mentorship, and scholarships, while also providing community outreach and health resources.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Our vision is to strengthen the future of nursing in Atlanta while improving health outcomes across underserved communities.

We aim to expand access to scholarships, mentorship, and community-based health initiatives throughout Atlanta, while empowering nurses to lead, advocate, and create lasting impact within the populations they serve.
